On Monday the Rimu Year 7/8s were on their second William Pike Outdoor Challenge to Cattlestop Crag. Thanks to the adults I was with - Miss Todd, all the way to the top of summit road!

At the start when we first got there it was very chilly. When we were walking along the narrow pathway I thought the worst; that I was going to fall off! It looked really foggy - we could see the whole of Christchurch. When I saw Cattlestop Crag I wanted to go first because I had never tried it before and I just wanted to get straight into it. I wanted to do all the climbs by the end of the day.

Today our values we were focusing on was Pride and Resilience. Our instructors were Steven and Josh. They talked about how we shouldn’t think we can’t do this; think we can do it and then we will feel proud of ourselves for having a go, even if we didn’t get to the top. We still got off the ground.

As I started my hands were super cold I couldn't do it the first time but I came later and I got it and josh helped me on the last one and I reached the top and I got all of it done by the end of the day. It was so fun I wish I could do it again
